The only way to stop a bad guy with free speech...is a good guy with free speech
An upcoming talk by professor Erec Smith.
We are very fortunate to be able to welcome professor Erec Smith to Laurier on Tuesday, February 25th, at 4:00 PM in Bricker Academic BA209.
Erec Smith is a professor of rhetoric, research fellow at the Cato Institute, and co-founder of Free Black Thought.
His talk is sponsored by Voices for Liberty, which is housed at George Mason University’s Antonin Scalia Law School and focuses on how free speech has enabled various civil rights movements.
The Voices for Liberty initiative is very interested in helping students understand that free speech is a much more effective than censorship as a way to advance civil rights. We hope many social justice advocates will attend and carefully consider this viewpoint.
We hope to see you there!
